"I eat the colors of the rainbow..." Ahhhh the lyrics of that song from Sesame Street, still rings in my head as I make daily choices in my meals to feed my body what it needs. We often forget, while living a busy life, that what we put into our bodies, affects how we feel day to day. And with so many of our foods now being genetically modified, or containing added food dyes and preservatives, it's no wonder that many of us are feeling the affects of these additives in our day to day lives. Anxiety, Depression, Digestive Issues, and Attention issues and hyperactivity can be directly linked to food and what we put in our bodies. Changing your Gut Flora is absolutely important to maintaining and achieving a healthier and happier you.

What set me on my path towards eating healthier, was a personal journey. A few years back, I suddenly became allergic to milk and was sick from months, not knowing what was causing me such illness. I did some research and began a food journal, and made the changes in my own diet to work on my own body and how I felt day to day. At the time, I was always bloated, sluggish, very tired, irritable and was experiencing allot of anxiety. It couldn't all be what was going on in my life. Being a busy mom and running my own private practice and business takes allot of work. What I found, what that I was suddenly very dairy intolerant, and it makes me very ill. I also have sensitivity to legumes, nuts, pork products and cured meats and anything with preservatives. I decided to cut it all out of my diet. I realized that my body doesn't enjoy it when I am eating poorly, and doesn't like it when I eat fast food. Even many restaurants cause me to have discomfort, bloating and I become sluggish. Who Knew? I mean we know this information and are taught it at a young age, but I swear we get lazy in our old age, and think we are invincible and that what we eat doesn't matter. But it does. Truly. Now I am not that much of a stickler, and do cheat from time to time, and eat something sweet or enjoy a glass of wine. But one thing I don't falter from is the choices I make when it's time to eat. I'd rather pay for good food than pay for fast food. I always choose fresh foods to eat as often as I can. I cook fresh and make everything from scratch. I also eat "The Colors of the Rainbow". Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I also have found that through my digestive changes in life, eating right benefits me. My mind is clearer and no anxiety. No more feeling sluggish, no more bloat and I have more energy. You may not be ready to make these changes right away and not sure where to begin. Slow and steady is what I found works best, and learn what your body likes and doesn't like. Having a food journal will assist you in keeping track of your meals and how you feel after eating them and then you can make healthier choices as you go along , with your own data.

Benefits of working with Crystals and Gemstones, Lapis Lazuli “the magical stone”.

Working with Crystals, is such a wonderful way to heal the body. Each crystal is unique and was formed over millions of years, slowly growing into now a beautiful gem or stone. I love all stones and crystals, Lapis being one of them. Lapis is typically found in limestone, in and around the area of what is now Afghanistan. It was treasured by ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt , China, Greece and Rome. It was valued for it color at the time, and the valuable ultramarine dye that was derived from it. The stone itself is formed from multiple minerals, mostly Lazurite, Sodalite, Calcite and Pyrite and has a rich medium to dark royal blue look with gold specks created from Pyrite.. Worn by royalty and those of nobility as an indication of status with the Gods, it was considered to be a stone of great value, representing great power and wisdom. It is said to stimulate the third eye, and enhance psychic abilities, psychic protection, healing, wisdom, deepens ones connection to the higher realms, guides and spirit world.

As a healer I love this stone to meditate with and have used it often when placed on the third eye to assist in opening and clearing the mind and body. I have also used this in conjunction when wanting to manifest abundance and when wanting to connect to the Goddess Isis.

I am always very free flowing when it comes with working with crystals, not necessarily following any particular path. I spend time with the stones I choose, and sit with them long before I work with them, so that I may gain a deeper understanding of how the stone will work for me as well as others. Our bodies love stones and crystals, due to the frequency naturally omitted by the stone. Experiment yourself and you will find you love Lapis!

Messages from Great Spirit, The Woodpecker, Animal Totem.

Everything in this world is connected. As we seek out guidance from Creator and our many guides and ancestors let us not forget how the Creator communicates with us. Messages from source does not always come in black and white, or flashing lights. They can be messages brought to you by personal experiences with the introductions of animals, birds or insects. Even fish carry meanings. The finding of feathers, stones, a view of a flying bird or even a butterfly. Spirit communicates with us, through all of these facets, to assist us and guide us. As we have asked for help. But we must first become aware, that we are even receiving messages. Otherwise, we wouldn't even know Creator is responding to our prayers. So first we must become aware and present in your day to day life. All Animals, Birds, Reptiles, and Insects carry messages from beyond. So, as you walk through your life, look to what you see surrounding you. What do you hear, what do you feel? What has crossed your path recently.
Today let us look to the messages that come from the Woodpecker. Ahhh Did you know there are 240 species of woodpecker from the sweet little Nut Hatch to Sap Suckers. Pretty cool.
I absolutely love woodpeckers. And Ahhhhh the sound of the knocking woodpecker, always brings me such joy when I hear it. I'm absolutely love all woodpeckers, and think they are just so cute and love when I find their feathers. I started paying attention to woodpeckers, more when I moved to my home in Plymouth MA. We have a sweet little ranch, right on the water, and awe we have birds a plenty here. In my neighborhood alone, we have over 10 species of woodpecker, possibly more, but that is how many I have counted since living here. If the woodpecker has appeared in your life, there is a message of new opportunities coming your way. Stay positive and optimistic. The Woodpecker tells you to not give up on your dreams and carries with him, the creative energies needed for you to move forward in the highest and best way. They speak to us about open and clear communication. And will help you navigate through difficult and even challenging times, to help you improve on your connections.
How appropriate! I love it, and the woodpeckers. Happy Bird Watching and remember Creator is always guiding us and sending messages to us. All we need to do is stay present and open to what you receive.
